Catholic Social Thought

Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church will be presenting the second of a four month series on Catholic Social Thought on Tuesday, September 5th with Martin Gutierrez, Division Director at Catholic Charities at the Archdiocese of New Orleans, speaking on Immigration. The series will be held in the Family Life Center with a light dinner starting at 6;45 p.m. and the speaker at 7:15 p.m. Babysitting will be provided upon reservation with the church at (985) 892-0642.

On Monday, October 2, 2017 Sidney Garmon, LCSW will speak on Criminal Justice and on Monday, November 6, 2017Stephanie Dupepe will speak on Homelessness.

This series is being presented in response to one of the priorities of the Archdiocese of New Orleans Ninth General Synod that the church parishes should be a voice and witness for Catholic Social Teaching. With so many social and political issues hotly debated today, Catholic Social Teaching allows a person to develop an informed decision from the Catholic perspective on these key issue which face us all today.
