Exploring the Life and Ministry of St. Peter

 Everyone is invited to a “Growth in Faith” marking the St. Peter 175th Anniversary featuring Reverend Mark Raphael on Thursday, February 22nd (Feast of Chair of St. Peter) in St. Mary’s Hall. Fr. Raphael will explore the life and ministry of St. Peter, the Apostle. Please join us for a light meal starting at 6:00pm. The presentation begins at 6:30pm. A love offering will be received.

Fr. Raphael earned both a BA and MA in History from the University of New Orleans, as well as a Masters of Divinity from Notre Dame Seminary. He holds a doctorate in Historical Theology/Church History from the Catholic University of America.

Following his ordination in 1998, Fr Raphael served as Parochial Vicar at St. Catherine of Siena and Our Lady of Prompt Succor. He then was appointed as Pastor of St Robert Bellarmine, followed by a position as Administrator of St. John the Baptist Parish. 

He is currently a Professor of Historical Theology at Notre Dame Seminary, the Director of Continuing Formation of Priests for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, and Pastor of St. Louis King of France Parish.
